Auditions are open to everyone!
Ethnic diversity is strongly encouraged.
("Color blind" casting is HCT's policy, and part of the theatre's vision.)

HOW AUDITIONS WORK:

Auditionees will be reading from the script.
[Scripts may be checked out for 48 hours with a $10 refundable deposit.]
For musicals, please prepare a song you like to sing. (You can sing any song, from any genre.)
There may be some improvisation as part of the audition.
Please dress in clothes you can move in.
Please look carefully at the rehearsal schedule and performance dates.
Being in a show at Hickory Community Theatre requires a great time commitment.
If you will only take a larger role because of your own time concerns, or if you are auditioning for just the experience, WELCOME!
--but please let the director know your intentions.
ALL ACTORS MUST BE AT ALL PERFORMANCES!
