In the Jeffers Theatre

The Sound of Music

One of the most beloved musicals of all time, The Sound of Music tells the story of a lovable young woman named Maria sent from the convent to be the new governess of Captain von Trapp's troubled seven children. With her love of music Maria teaches the children to sing, and through her, music is brought back into the hearts and home of the von Trapp family. As Maria and the Captain start to fall in love Austria is coming under the control of Nazi Germany, and the Captain may soon find himself drafted into the German navy and forced to fight against his own country.

The Sound of Music performances are September 9, 10, 15, 16, 17, 18, 22, 23, 24, & 25

 

Disney’s Jungle Book KIDS

This all time favorite comedy brings audiences’ favorite songs and characters to life. Follow Baloo, Mowgli, King Louie and the rest of the jungle gang as they swing their way through wacky adventures and thwart the fierce tiger, Shere Khan. With colorful characters and that toe-tapping jungle rhythm, The Jungle Book is sure to be a crowd-pleaser for audiences of all ages.

Disney’s Jungle Book KIDS performances are October 14, 15, 20, 21, 22, 23, 27, 28, 29, & 30

Irving Berlin's White Christmas

 

If you're dreaming of a White Christmas, you don’t want to miss this classic romance. When two showbiz gents team up with a beautiful sister act to save a country inn, the result is a sparkling holiday package bursting with cheerful dancing, treasured tunes and a generous helping of yuletide cheer. A wonderful classic musical that includes some of Irving Berlin’s greatest songs, including Blue Skies, Sisters, I’ve Got My Love to Keep Me Warm and, of course, White Christmas.

White Christmas performances are November 25 & 26, December 1, 2, 3, 4, 8, 9, 10 & 11.

By a Flared Nostril

Local audiences love the plays of Molly Bass and this is the one that started it all. Rita's expecting a baby and shes all to worried, given her husband's mullet and love of NASCAR, that she's going to give birth to a redneck. When she goes into labor it's "Epidural Man" to the rescue! His Appearance at the end of Act 1 is topped by the moment in Act 2 when her son demands "I want back in!"

Shakespeare's King Lear

An aging monarch. A kingdom divided. A child’s love rejected. As Lear’s world descends into chaos, all that he once believed is brought into question. One of the greatest works in western literature, King Lear explores the very nature of human existence: love and duty, power and loss, good and evil.

King Lear performances are March 16, 17, 22, 23, 24, 25, 29, 30, 31 & April 1.

The Full Monty

The Full Monty is a grin and bare-it comedy that tells the story of six average-looking, unemployed steelworkers on the verge of a daring plan to get themselves out of debt, and make amends with those they love. The plan involves becoming exotic dancers and going "the full monty". Pushing through fears, building self-esteem, and rediscovering the importance of friendship and family, they overcome their inner demons and find strength in their camaraderie.

The Full Monty performances are May 18, 19, 24, 25, 26, 27, 31, June 1, 2 & 3.

God of Carnage

GodOfCarnage God of Carnage is set in a gentrified section of Brooklyn where two married couples meet to sort out a playground fight between their sons. Michael and Veronica invite Alan and Annette, to their home to settle stuff. Civility crumbles. Grown-ups behave badly as these parents argue about who influenced their sons’ misbehavior. Carnage erupts with finger-pointing, name-calling, stomping and carrying on. And then they break out the liquor.

God of Carnage performances are November 4, 5, 10, 11, 12, 17, 18, & 19.

Becky's New Car

Becky is married, late 40's and working at a car dealership. When one night, by chance, she's offered an opportunity to step into another life -she takes it. She finds herself leading a double life until it rapidly and hilariously accelerates out of her control. This brilliant and humorous new comedy shows us an unforeseen and creative way to escape the midlife doldrums.

Becky’s New Car performances are January 13, 14, 19, 20, 21, 27 & 28 and February 3 & 4.

Deadly Murder

Fighting her way up the ladder of success from humble beginnings, Camille Dargus has the world at her feet. She’s a beautiful, attractive, talented, and a very successful jeweler; most important of all – a limitless supply of wealth. She also has a secret which threatens her charmed life. One explosive night she is taken as hostage and held at gunpoint. She must now use all her wits and cunning to save her life. Full of bluffs and double bluffs, twists and turns, deadly Murder is one step ahead of you all the way.

Deadly Murder performances are April 20, 21, 26, 27, 28 and May 3, 4, 5.
