Kandyce Marie
  Kandyce has appeared in several shows throughout Utah, as well as traveled the world performing in the international tour of Aida, and as a Production Cast Principal Singer for Norwegian Cruise Lines.  Kandyce was part of the original Paradis cast that was both choreographed and directed by the amazing Patti Wilcox, who choreographed the Broadway hit Motown.  Kandyce lists as some of her favorite credits:  ‘Aida’ Aida, ‘Sarah’ Ragtime, ‘Dionne’ Hair, ‘Yellow Girl’ Shout! The Mod Musical, ‘Mama Nadi’ Ruined, ‘Erzulie’ Once On This Island and ‘Chiffon’ Little Shop of Horrors.  Kandyce graduated from WSU in Child and Family Studies.  “Be positive. Be true. Be kind.”

Casey Elliott
  Casey is no stranger to the HCT stage, having been seen as ‘Jean Val Jean’ Les Miserables, ‘Zorro’ Zorro, ‘Sydney Carton’ A Tale of Two Cities, ‘Joseph’ Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat and ‘Radames’ Aida.  He has also had the privilege of playing ‘Radames’ in Aida for the National Tour, China Tour and in Taiwan.  Casey currently performs with GENTRI: The Gentlemen Trio and is the Vice President of Business Development for IRIS Connect, a teacher professional development technology company.  He graduated Summa Cum Laude from WSU in Business Administration, with emphasis on Marketing and Entrepreneurship.  “A special thanks to my amazing wife for always being my #1 fan, the love of my life, and the most amazing woman that I know.  I love you sweetie!”  www.gentrimusic.com

Amy Shreeve Keeler
  Amy is no stranger to the HCT stage, having been seen as ‘Ariel’ in The Little Mermaid. She lists as some of her favorites: She Loves Me, Ragtime, Thoroughly Modern Millie, Crazy for You, all on the HCT stage; ‘Belle’ Beauty and the Beast: Live on Stage at Walt Disney World; The Golden Mickeys at Hong Kong Disneyland; ‘Jane’ Jane Eyre, ‘Sarah’ Guys and Dolls and ‘Mabel’ The Pirates of Penzance. Amy has a BFA from BYU in Music Dance Theatre. She lists as her day job, Momma to the best boys, Davis, Hayden and Bennett. She’s also a jungle gym, nurse, janitor, PJ Masks villain, marker of PB & J’s, filler of sippies, potty scrubber, late night snuggler, Lego stepper-onner and minivan driver. “The irony of this role is not lost on me – a messy bun and sweats covered in unidentifiable substances are my every day attire. Thanks to Sally, Mark, Dave, Kelly and Jenny, for glamming me up more than I have been in the past five years. And to my Chuck – who stays home with the wonderful little people while I play.”

Jared Haddock

  Jared is a newcomer to the HCT stage, but is no newcomer to the stage.  He lists as some of his favorites:  Footloose-Broadway Tour; Fame-Broadway Tour, Children of Eden-National Tour, Starlight Express-Las Vegas Hilton; Jekyll and Hyde-Centerpoint Legacy Theater.  Jared is an Award-Winning Director and Choreographer and is the Co-creator of “Ha Breath of Life” at the Polynesian Cultural Center.  He has also created and directed shows seen on PBS and stages around the world. Jared holds a degree from BYU in Music Dance Theatre and currently works as the Creative Director for LifeVantage.  “Much thanks to this wonderful production team, my wife Natalie, and my amazing sons.”

Christopher Curlett
  Chris was last seen in HCT’s Sister Act.  He lists as a few of his favorites:  The Pirate Queen, Ragtime, Big River all at HCT and Much Ado About Nothing for the Covey Center Theater.  Chris studied at the American Musical and Dramatic Arts Academy and received his Bachelors in Behavioral Science from UVU.  Chris is a case manager by day and an actor for film and theater at night.  “The more that you read, the more things you will know.  The more that you learn, the more places you’ll go.” – Dr. Seuss



Kevin Jones Giddins
Amonasro / Minister / Nubian
  Aida marks Kevin’s debut on the HCT stage, but he’s no stranger to the stage, having performed in To Kill A Mockingbird and Civil War for HCTO, been a part of the Young Ambassador’s, Dancer’s Company, Opryland USA, Six Flags, Busch Gardens, Darien Lake, West Virginia Ballet, to name a few.  Kevin has also done film work:  Evolution of Bart – jazztam production, Fire Creek – BYU 1st feature film.  Kevin began his career with Broadway productions, Director Ted Kurdela, NYC.  Kevin holds a BFA from Ohio University, and MA from BYU, as well as a PHD & TBD and is currently employed as a Customer Advocate Director at Corporate Alliance.  “My greatest joy is my wife, five heirs, Mother, Sibling, and close friends.  My greatest challenge is the same.”

Rebecca Burroughs
  Rebecca has performed on the HCT stage in Sister Act and Mary Poppins, as well as the HCTO stage as ‘Vanessa’ In the Heights, ‘Day of the Dead Ancestor’ The Addams Family, Big Fish and ‘Liat’ South Pacific.

Brad Schroeder
  Once again, Brad finds himself choreographing controlled mayhem at HCT and he couldn't be happier. He has choreographed numerous fight scenes for productions at HCT such as The Heart of Robin Hood, The Pirate Queen, Treasure Island, The Three Musketeers, Zorro the Musical and No Time for Sergeants; Centerpoint Legacy Theatre for The Scarlet Pimpernel, Man of La Mancha and Guys and Dolls; as well as other venues throughout the state of Utah. Brad has acted, directed, taught, choreographed and fought on stage for the last 28 years and is continually amazed at how much HCT supports him and everyone else involved in each and every production. When not teaching actors to bash each other safely, he is perpetually wrapped around the finger of his gorgeous daughter, Lauren, and his beautiful wife Tracy. Their love and support keep him going in all endeavors. “Thanks to Mark and Sally for once again letting him be a part of another incredible production in the coolest venue of all. “

Wesley Valdez
Nubian / Minister / Warrior Dancer / Soldier
  This BYU Senior is new to the HCT stage.  Wesley has been a member of the BYU International Folk Dance Ensemble and is currently a member of the BYU’s Contemporary Dance Theater and is studying Dance Performance with a minor in Business Management.  Wesley is a student instructor at BYU, teaching beginning clogging, which he loves.  “To my friends and family, I love you all!”

Nick Summers
Nubian / Minister / Warrior Dancer / Soldier
  Nick was last seen on the HCT stage as ‘Asher’ in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat.  Nick lists as some of his favorites:  ‘George Banks’ Mary Poppins (BYU), a performer at Mack’s Inn Playhouse, ‘Ensemble’ Beauty and the Beast (BYU), ‘Frederick’ The Pirates of Penzance (Snow College) and a Young Performing Missionary in Nauvoo, Illinois.  Nick is currently in the Music Dance Theater program at BYU and is employed at the BYU Carpenter’s Shop as a Student Carpenter. “I live in Orem, UT with my beautiful wife Melissa, and our Yorkie puppy, Schmidt.”



Jack David Shapiro

  Jack was last seen on the HCT stage as ‘Caleb’ Seven Brides for Seven Brothers, and  ‘Will Parker’ Oklahoma!   Other local theatrical productions:  ‘Joseph’ Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat – HCTO and ‘Perchik’ Fiddler on the Roof – Sundance.  Jack is a graduate from BYU with a degree in Music, Dance, Theatre and is currently working in Business Services for Utah First Credit Union.

Abrin Tinney
Nubian / Minister / Warrior Dancer / Soldier
  Abrin was last seen on the HCT stage as ‘Joel’ in Seven Brides for Seven Brothers, as well as Disney’s Beauty and the Beast and Oliver!.  Abrin has also graced the HCTO stage in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat and Seussical the Musical, and 13 Youth Performances. “Thank you to my family, cast and crew for allowing me to perform in this new and beautiful facility!  Enjoy the show!”

Keith Goodrich

  Keith is no stranger to the HCT stage, having been seen in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Disney’s Beauty and the Beast, The Pirate Queen, Oklahoma!, Disney’s The Little Mermaid, Mary Poppins, Brigadoon and Tarzan.  Keith has his degree in Music Education with a Vocal Performance Emphasis from Dixie State University and is the choir and orchestra teacher at Elk Ridge Middle School.  He also does some choreography for several high schools in the Salt Lake area.  Keith loves to dabble in Aerial Acrobatics.  “If you want to live an extraordinary life you have to do extraordinary things.”

Jordan Dahl

  Jordan was last seen on the HCT as ‘Gad’ in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat.  He also been seen in Peter Pan on the HCTO stage.  Jordan graduated in August with a Bachelors in Exercise Science at UVU, and is currently a Medical Assistant at Alpine Pediatrics and Tumbling coach at Jump Up Gymnastics.  “Haley, you are worth searching through a hundred lifetimes to find.”

Noah Hartwell

  Noah was last seen on the HCT stage as ‘Benjamin’ in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat.  Past credits include ‘Link Larkin’ Hairspray, ‘Big Deal’ West Side Story, 42nd Street with San Diego Musical Theatre and Mary Poppins with BYU.  Noah is currently a Music Dance Theatre major at BYU.  “Thank you to my amazing family and friends for your constant support and your support of live theatre!”

Michael Avila

  HCT welcomes Michael to his debut performance on the HCT stage.  He is studying Theater Education from BYU and has been seen in Beauty and the Beast.  In his spare time he teaches piano lessons and does some choreographing.  “Theater is magic that will change your life.”

Keslie Ta'afua
Nubian / Egyptian / Handmaiden
  Keslie is no stranger to Aida, having performed in the show 2 other times, but she is a newcomer to the HCT stage, in this, her 3rd performance of Aida.  She lists as one of her favorites:  Beauty and the Beast, both at BYU and for the Sandy Arts Guild.  She has been an acting major at BYU, but will be transferring to the U of U for the 2018 Spring Semester and may be changing her major.  She currently is employed as a performer at This is the Place: Heritage Park.  “This is a new adventure for me and I couldn’t be more thrilled!”

Mikah Olsen
Nubian / Egyptian / Handmaiden
  Mikah is new to the HCT stage, but is no stranger to the stage, having performed for Hillcrest High School and the Sandy Amphitheater.  Mikah had the privilege of participating in Madilyn Page’s music video “Irreplaceable”.  Mikah is currently studying in hopes to start a musical therapy business.  She currently works as a Para-educator at Jordan Valley and enjoys her time with her students and has a great love for special education.  “Light the flame inside your soul to illuminate others stories.”

Deborah Fuchs
Nubian / Egyptian / Handmaiden
  Deborah makes her HCT stage debut in Aida.  She lists as a favorite show:  In the Heights at HCTO.  Deborah has studied Art and Design at UVU.  “All our dreams can come true if we have the courage to pursue them.” –Walt Disney

Erika Ovuoba

  Erika was last seen on the HCT stage in Big River and lists as some of her favorites:  ‘Princess Puffer’ The Mystery of Edwin Drood, UVU; ‘Nettie’ The Color Purple, Rose Wagner Performing Arts Center.  “…all tales of love at heart.”

Brooke Elyse Wilson
Nubian / Egyptian / Handmaiden
  Brooke is no stranger to the HCT stage and lists as some of her favorite shows:  The Little Mermaid, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Curtains, Aida, The Scarlet Pimpernel, Singin’ in the Rain, 42nd Street, West Side Story and Once on this Island – all at HCT; Little Shop of Horrors – Rodgers Memorial Theatre; I Do, I Do and Cash On Delivery! – Granbury Texas Opera Theater.  Brooke has also been a dancer for Holland America Cruise Lines and a singer for Emerald City Management in Dallas, TX.  By day, you can find Brooke as a Delta Airlines Ramp Agent, de-icing planes.  “Thank you to my parents for all the after school lessons, recitals, costumes, competitions, successes and heartache hugs.  Mom, I miss you and know you are watching.  To my fiancé, Sean, thank you for always supporting and inspiring me.  I love you.”



Amy Smith
Nubian / Egyptian / Handmaiden
  Amy is a newcomer to the HCT stage and recently made her New York debut at Feinstein’s/54 Below, in a concert version of The Light Rail.  Some of her favorite stage credits:  The Nutcracker-Moscow Ballet; Annie-Tuacahn; Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat-Sundance; Tosca-Las Vegas Opera with The New York Metropolitan Opera and Mary Poppins-BYU.  She is a nationally awarded dancer, earning multiple scholarships nationwide.  Amy was crowned Miss Teen Nevada 2014 and went on to represent her state at the 2015 Miss Teen America pageant.  Amy is a sophomore in Music Dance Theatre at BYU.  “Love to family and teachers!”

  Jamie was last seen on the HCT stage as ‘Silly Girl’ in Beauty and the Beast.  She lists as some of her favorites:  ‘Rumpleteazer’ Cats, U of U; ‘Guest Artist’ Jerry Herman Legacy Concern, Utah Symphony; ‘Ensemble’ Hello, Dolly, U of U; ‘Tasha/Dance Captain’ Young Frankenstein, The Grand Theatre and ‘Gemini’ A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum, U of U.  Jamie graduated from BYU with a BFA in Musical Theatre.  “I would love to thank my parents, husband, and baby sister for inspiring, supporting, pushing and for tolerating me!”

Amelia Rose Moore

  Amelia was most recently seen on the HCT stage as ‘Narrator’ in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat.  Amelia has also been seen on the HCT stage as ‘Dorcus’ in Seven Brides for Seven Brothers, ‘Belle’ in Disney’s Beauty and the Beast and as ‘Belle/Laundress’ in our A Christmas Carol.  Other favorite roles:  ‘Grizette’ The Merry Widow (Utah Opera), ‘Narrator’ Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat (HCTO), ‘Gloria Thorpe’ Damn Yankees and on the HCT stage as ‘Belle/Laundress’ A Christmas Carol and an ‘Alabama Lamb’ Big Fish.  Amelia has also performed at Kingsbury Hall, Abravanel Hall, The Grand Theatre and the Ellen Eccles Theater in Logan.  Amelia holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Musical Theater from Weber State University and works as a dance teacher at CenterPoint Academy and is also a vocal instructor.  “This theater has meant a lot to me throughout my life, and I am so excited to be a part of this show in the new location.  Thanks to the production team for this opportunity!  Thank you to my family and friends for their love and support.  Enjoy!”

Samantha Nielsen
Aerialist / Handmaiden / Nubian
  HCT welcomes Samantha to our stage.  Samantha has experience in aerial hoop, silks and duo trapeze artistry, having worked for the Mayan Adventure Restaurant.  She also is a special event aerialist and performs for the Chimelong International Circus.  Samantha is a graduate from the U of U and owns Aerobatics Performing Arts.

Kimberly Paulsen
Aerialist / Handmaiden / Nubian
  Kimberly is new to the HCT stage and we’re excited to have her join us.  Kimberly has been performing and competing in the Utah Aerial Community since 2013.  She has recently started to do competitions out of state, and is so excited to be a part of the magic at HCT, in one of her favorite musicals of all time.  Kimberly is currently a student at SLCC and is an Aerial Silk Instructor at Onyx Pole and Aerial Fitness.
